Career Management

“Once a client always a client”

Scanlon Creek Hockey will always be in your corner. We encourage our players to stay in touch whether you need hockey related advice or someone to talk to about the direction you plan to take in your career. We want to hear from you and will help in any way we can. Most importantly we will be there to insure that players are safe and having fun in a sport they love.

Player Placement

*All players that have attended one of our programs are eligible to use our Junior Placement and Promotion service. We know our clients very well, as a rule we DO NOT place or promote players that have not trained with us.

Hockey in North America is very competitive. The process of gaining opportunity goes beyond skill and conditioning. Listed below are some of the reasons why many players and their parents use Scanlon Creek Hockey’s placement services.

* Creating initial interest with teams through player promotion

* Educate our clients to promote a general understanding of the different leagues and options for hockey in North America.

* All aspects of the organizations we deal with are taken into consideration including Coaching, Management, and Facilities as well as living accommodations (Billet Family).

* Players will be directed to reputable organizations in leagues appropriate to their skill level. It is crucial to place players in leagues that are challenging enough for the individual and also have a proven record of developing players for the next level.

* Our staff has vast amounts of experience and contacts throughout the hockey world. These contacts help us find opportunities that players would not have had otherwise.

* If a player is traded or released we will be there to take control of the situation insuring that the player’s best interest is the priority.

* Parents of players who are playing far away from home can be confident that someone makes sure their children are safe and also provides advice throughout the season.

LIFE AFTER HOCKEY:

Career Prospects

Scanlon Creek Hockey cares for our clients beyond athletics. We acknowledge that not everyone will go on to play hockey at a professional level and we aim to help our players determine what their alternate career path might be.

Career Prospects is a great service specifically designed for hockey players who want help in finding realistic options in a career that they can be truly happy with.  It is a remarkably cost effective service that is run by the corporate career consultants of Career Marketing Specialists Inc., a privately owned Canadian company that has offered career counseling and job search assistance programs across North America since 1981.

We encourage you to explore www.CareerProspects.ca where you will find more information about the services, created especially for life after hockey.
