Girls Summer Training Program 2012
Training
On Ice Training
Our on-ice practices feature drills and training techniques that have been developed through research and our international experience.
Players are encouraged to work at the highest intensity to create a competitive environment every time they step out on the ice.
Many drills are designed to be very difficult pushing players to work outside of their comfort zone. This type of training is challenging and rapidly increases skill development.
All aspects of skill development are covered during the practices, including power skating, shooting, passing, puck control, angling and basic team systems.
Three practices per week are dedicated to specific skill development for forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.
- 2 hours of on-ice training daily
- 2 scrimmages per week
- 2 position specific practices per week
- Small area games
- NCAA coaches in attendance
- Professional coaching daily
